Tiles
Valentine’s Day Mahjong uses tiles with symbols related to Valentine’s Day (e.g. hearts, chocolate, flowers, …).
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to remove all tiles from the board by matching identical tiles. A tile can only be matched if it has at least two adjacent sides open. This is different from the original mahjong solitaire game in which the left or right side needs to be open.
You can ask for a hint if you get stuck. Use them wisely, because the amount of hints you can use in a level is limited.
Levels
Valentine’s Day Mahjong has several levels for you to complete. At the start, only level 1 is unlocked. Completing a level will unlock the next one!
Time limit
There is no time limit in Valentine’s Day Mahjong. However, the faster you complete a level, the higher your time bonus will be.
Scoring
For each level you will get a level score, which is comprised of a base score, a hint bonus and a time bonus.
Your base score for a level is incremented each time you make a match with two tiles.
At the end of a level you can get two bonuses. If you limit the use of hints (or use no hints at all), you will get a hints bonus. Not using hints will result in a bonus of 800 points.
Additionally, you will get a time bonus. The faster you complete a level, the higher the time bonus will be.
All your level scores are summed up into a total score. You can submit your total score to the leaderboards by pressing the trophy button after completing a level.
Controls
Select tiles by pressing them with the left mouse button, or tapping them on a touchscreen device.
