Tiles

The tiles used in the game have unique symbols on them, not like the traditional mahjong tiles.

The in-game interface refers to tiles as ‘panels’.

Gameplay

As with regular mahjong, the goal of the game is to clear all tiles from the board.

But instead of removing tiles by clicking and selecting similar tiles, you have to slide tiles (left, right, up or down) so they end up next to each other horizontally or vertically.

To move a tile, click on a tile and keep the mouse down, then drag in the direction you want the tile to move. Once the direction you want to move the tile to is indicated with a green arrow, you can release the mouse.

A tile will move as far as it can, either until it hits another tile or until it hits the end of the game board.

You only have a limited amount of moves (steps) for each level. Watch the counter at the left of the game (Last x Steps). If you run out of moves, you have to start over from level 1.

You have the possibility to undo a move and to delete (remove) a tile from the board. Both the undo and delete features can only be used a limited number of times.

Levels

Mahjong Slide has different levels (referred to as ‘stages’ in te game) with increasing difficulty.

Time limit

Mahjong Slide does not have a time limit.

Scoring

If you make multiple matches in a row, the score per match increases (100, 200, 300, …).

For each move you have left at the end of a level, you get a bonus of 50 points.

Developer

Mahjong Slide was developed by Yoshio Ishii, who distributes his games under the name Nekogames.
